Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") carefully. They apply when you visit or use www.aminagoodwinmd.com, www.wholehealthsolutionspllc.com, or www.beaminghealthbook.com (the "Sites"), buy a book or digital product, join a membership, or request or receive care from us. By using the Sites or our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Who We Are

The Sites and services are provided by Dr. Amina Goodwin, MD and Whole Health Solutions PLLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Dr. Goodwin is a double board certified Internal Medicine doctor. Whole Health Solutions PLLC is her virtual (telehealth) medical practice.

We offer two different kinds of services:

  • Educational Services: free and paid health education, including our blog, videos, emails and newsletters, quizzes and scorecards, challenges, webinars, the book Beaming Health, digital guides, and the Beaming Health Collective membership.
  • Medical Services: virtual doctor visits and treatment provided through Whole Health Solutions PLLC to patients who have been accepted into the practice.

Some sections of these Terms apply to only one kind of service. We say so when that is the case.

2. Educational Content Is Not Medical Advice

Everything we share through our Educational Services is for general education only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not replace care from your own doctor. Reading our content, taking a quiz, joining a challenge or webinar, buying the book, joining the Beaming Health Collective, or sending us a message does not make you our patient and does not create a doctor-patient relationship.

Always talk with your own doctor before you change your diet, exercise, supplements, or medicines. Never stop or change a prescribed medicine without talking to the doctor who prescribed it. If you take medicine for blood sugar or blood pressure, changes to your food or activity can make your numbers drop too low, so check with your doctor first.

3. Not for Emergencies

Our Sites, email, messages, online community, and virtual visits are not for emergencies or urgent care. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room right away. If you are thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) in the United States.

4. Medical Services Through Whole Health Solutions PLLC

This section applies only to Medical Services.

When you become a patient

Requesting a consultation or joining our waitlist does not make you a patient. A doctor-patient relationship begins only after we accept you, you complete our intake and consent forms, and you have your first scheduled visit with Dr. Goodwin. We may decline to accept anyone as a patient, and we may refer you elsewhere if your needs are outside the scope of our practice.

Where we can see you

Dr. Goodwin is licensed to practice medicine in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana, Idaho, Oregon, and Antigua and Barbuda. You must be physically located in one of these places at the time of each visit, and you agree to tell us your true location. We may cancel or reschedule a visit if you are located somewhere else.

What we treat

Whole Health Solutions PLLC focuses on metabolic health, including prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, weight loss, PCOS/PMOS, peptide therapy, medication review, and second opinions. We do not provide primary care or emergency care. You should keep your own primary care doctor. With your permission, or when the law allows, we may share information with your other doctors to coordinate your care.

Telehealth

Visits take place by secure video. Telehealth has limits. Dr. Goodwin cannot do a hands-on physical exam, and technology problems can happen. You may need in-person care, lab tests, or imaging from other providers. Before your first visit, you will be asked to sign a separate Telehealth Informed Consent.

Prescriptions and peptide therapy

A medicine or peptide is prescribed only if Dr. Goodwin decides, in her professional judgment, that it is safe and right for you, and only as allowed by the laws of the state where you are located. We do not promise that any medicine or peptide will be prescribed. Some peptides are prepared by compounding pharmacies. Compounded products are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and may carry different risks, which we will discuss with you. Medicines are dispensed by licensed pharmacies, not by us, and pharmacy costs are separate from our visit fees.

Your responsibilities as a patient

You agree to give us complete and accurate information about your health, medicines, and allergies; to get any labs we order; to follow up as recommended; and to tell us right away about side effects or changes in your health.

Your health information

We protect your health information as required by HIPAA and other laws. Our Notice of Privacy Practices explains how we use and share it. Regular email and social media messages are not secure, so please do not send detailed health information that way. We will give you a secure way to share it.

Age

Medical Services are for adults 18 and older unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Fees, Payment, and Insurance

Whole Health Solutions PLLC is a cash-pay practice. We do not bill insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid for visits. Payment is due when you book. Current prices are listed on our Pricing page. Prices may change, but a change will not affect a visit you have already paid for.

You may be able to use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or to submit receipts to your insurance yourself. We do not promise that any plan will pay you back. Labs, imaging, medicines, and pharmacy costs are billed separately by the companies that provide them.

6. Cancellations, No-Shows, and Late Arrivals

Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your visit. A visit canceled less than 24 hours ahead will be charged a $50 fee. A missed visit (no-show) will be charged $100. If you arrive late, we will do our best to use the time that remains, but the visit will still end at its scheduled time and the full fee applies. By booking a visit, you agree to this policy.

7. Books, Digital Products, and Memberships

This section applies to Educational Services you buy from us.

Payments

Payments are processed by trusted third parties, such as Kajabi and Stripe. By buying, you confirm that you are allowed to use the payment method you provide.

Memberships and subscriptions

Some offers, such as the Beaming Health Collective, are recurring subscriptions. Your subscription renews automatically, and your payment method is charged each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time before your next renewal through your account or by emailing us. Canceling stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. If an offer page promises a locked-in price or a money-back guarantee, we will honor it as stated on that page.

Refunds

Because digital products and member content can be used right away, all sales are final unless the offer page states a guarantee or the law requires otherwise. Printed books bought through Amazon or another store follow that store's return policy.

Community rules

In our online community, please be kind and respectful. Do not share other members' personal or health information, post spam or ads, or give medical advice to others. What you post in the community is seen by other members and is not protected health information under HIPAA, so share only what you are comfortable sharing with the group. We may remove posts, or remove members who break these rules, without a refund.

8. Results Vary

Every person is different. Stories, testimonials, and examples on our Sites describe individual experiences. They are not a promise that you will get the same results. Your results depend on many things, including your health history, your genes, and how closely you follow your plan.

9. Your Account

If you create an account, keep your password private and give us accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.

10. Emails and Text Messages

When you join our email list, download a free guide, or buy from us, you agree to receive emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out.

11. Our Intellectual Property

All content on the Sites, including text, videos, images, logos, the book Beaming Health, the BEAM Blueprint, the BEAM Food Pyramid, courses, guides, and recipes, belongs to us or to those who license it to us, and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, share, record, or republish it without our written permission.

12. Affiliate Links and Other Websites

Some links on our Sites are affiliate links, including Amazon links. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. We only recommend products we believe in, but we are not responsible for other companies' products, websites, or policies.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Sites and Educational Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise that the Sites will always be available or free of errors. This section does not reduce any duty of care that the law requires for Medical Services.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Sites or Educational Services. For Educational Services, our total liability to you for any claim will not be more than the amount you paid us for the product or service involved in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for professional medical care, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

15. Indemnification

You agree to protect and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorney fees) that result from your misuse of the Sites or your violation of these Terms.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Medical Services are also governed by the laws and medical board rules of the state where you were located when you received care. If you have a concern, please contact us first, and we will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. If we cannot resolve it, any lawsuit about Educational Services must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, unless the law requires a different place.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For major changes, we will also post a notice on the Sites or send you an email. If you keep using the Sites or our services after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

18. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, our Disclaimer, and any patient intake and consent forms you sign, are the full agreement between you and us about the Sites and our services. If there is a conflict about Medical Services, your signed patient forms control.
